A 28-year-old woman is facing multiple charges, including obstructing justice and driving with undue care and attention, after a two-vehicle collision near Rosetown.

According to RCMP in a news release, members of the Rosetown detachment responded to a head-on collision between a semi truck-trailer unit and an SUV approximately 10 kilometres east of Rosetown on Highway 7. After the three occupants of the SUV were transported to Rosetown Hospital, two of them — one man and one woman — “fled on foot and attempted to hide in the basement of a local business,” RCMP said.

The two were quickly located by RCMP and arrested without incident.

The man found in the nearby building, along with the other man who was in the SUV, were both transported to a hospital in Saskatoon for further assessment. The 28-year-old woman from Saskatoon and the driver of the semi were not injured.

The 28-year-old woman has been charged with obstructing justice, driving with undue care and attention, driving without reasonable consideration for others, failure to notify an administrator of an address change and having/giving/consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle. Her next court appearance is scheduled for March 28.

This investigation is continuing, said RCMP.
